GS06 15mm 2-Arch Stone Bridge with buttresses.
A general purpose "UniScale" bridge for rivers between 25mm and 90mm wide, for use in almost any period or theatre after about 1500AD. The roadway width on the bridge (between the walls) is 20mm.
Designed for 15mm but also works well up to 25mm scale and a little beyond.
Especially suitable for Colonial, ECW, AWI, ACW, and European Renaissance scenarios, but also useful for post-middle ages including Napoleonics through to modern day.
The central stone piling/buttress allows for splitting the river - either having two streams join at the bridge, or having one arch over a dry channel and the other over a wet channel, therefore making the narrowest river spanned to be only 25mm wide.
The buttresses on either end and side of the bridge can be deployed into the river, or on the banks, and are especially useful for WW1 & WW2 scenarios as they provide cover for machine-gun positions etc, making this an ideal objective for Flames of War scenarios.

The stonework is designed with deep-cut detail making this a very quick model to paint using "damp-brush" methods.
Example projects could be to add - trees & shrubs growing from the end-bases and many other personalised modifications that allow several of them to appear different to each other, creating variation on the table top.
This would make an ideal Bridge across the Brandywine for Lord of the Rings wargaming.
