GHSCB1 6mm-15mm Channel Battery.

A small, oval, elevated battery / gun position of a general design used in river and harbour entrance shallows to guard the shipping channel, and act as a signalling fort (when used with the GHS tower tops). At 6mm or 10mm scale it can support 3-5 naval style guns, or 2 guns at 15mm scale.

This general purpose piece can also be used as a land based battery, either alone, or flanked by the GHS Mole Series walls to create linear fortifications for almost any gunpowder period or theatre.

This battery is especially suitable for Colonial, AWI, ACW, and European Renaissance scenarios, but also fits suitable theatres in any period from post-ECW through to Modern, most especially Age of Exploration & Pirate games.

In addition to using the GHS Series as a coastal harbour, it can also be used as a river port.

and many other personalised modifications that would allow several of these to appear different to each other on the table top.

Painting the models in a grey "stone" finish is suitable for granite areas such as the North Sea & Scandanavia
Painting them in sandy "adobe" finish converts it to sandstone for other areas, such as the Caribbean, Mediterranean, East Indies etc.
