Buying Figures on eBay – Finding them is the first problem.
The Long Range Logistics model ranges have been sold on eBay since 2003, under the seller ID “GazLanNaThai“, and in that time we’ve seen a lot of changes to the eBay sites, their policies, and the manner in which they present products for sale. In addition to giving you fast access to categorised listings, this part of our site will pass to you the tips and advice we’ve learned after years as an eBay PowerSeller using every eBay site worldwide (we’ve even sold to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan).
In 2008, we launched Long Range Logistics on eBay under our own name (see shop links at the bottom of this page) because we realised we needed an eBay sales operation geared to the specific needs of the wargames marketplace. To help you find the products in those shops, we’ve provided a list of links (below) to each of our eBay stores worldwide. Please see the explanation that follows as to why not every model is on every eBay site, and why the total ranges you see, will vary from eBay country to eBay country.
This section of our site is not here to simply give you another route to buying our models … Have you ever asked yourself why you can’t find the great selection of figures and models on eBay, that you used to find?
As this page’s title suggests, what we’re presenting here are tools to turn eBay’s recent management mayhem on its head, and help you to quickly locate the figures you’re looking for, and to check what’s available on all eBay sites worldwide, but first, some explanation …
eBay has made finding items internationally increasingly difficult with expanding restrictions to cross-border visibility, increased fees for the cross-border visibility that remains available, and obfuscated search and browsing presentation.
Another area where eBay have made life difficult for buyers and sellers alike, is in the field of minimum permitted start price.
For example, using UK Pounds Sterling as a base currency, as of mid September 2008, the minimum selling prices for Buy Now items was eBay UK £0.99, eBay Switzerland Euro 1.00 (£0.76), and eBay USA $1.00 (£0.55) – as you can see, this creates big differences between the sites for the lowest prices permitted.
For buyers, it means that on the main country sites, you will no longer find items such as individual Axis & Allies figures to round out your army, or small packs of flock & lichen for basing, or sellers clearing out their lead boxes figure-by-figure. To buy in that manner, you now need to buy direct from manufacturers, attend conventions, or visit the eBay sites in emerging markets.
For example, minimum prices (in UK Pounds) on eBay India (£ 0.01) Malaysia (£ 0.001 yes, 1/10th of a penny) Philippines (£ 0.11) Singapore (£ 0.005 half a penny). These minimum selling prices permitted, return the opportunity to sell low price items in low quantities, and those sites have zero, or almost-zero, insertion and success fees, allowing sellers to keep prices (including P&P) to a minimum.
We’ll be adding more information and tips in the WarpBay as time goes by – please be sure to drop in from time to time and check what’s new.

Please note this list only includes eBay sites which use the Roman (English-style) alphabet, or offer it as a second optional display language. We’ve also left off associate sites such as Mercado-Libre in Argentina as items on those cannot be seen within the main eBay network.
